WHAT TO EXPECT

From installation
to your first dashboard.

The release bundle will include platform-specific helpers for installation, updates and recovery.

  1. 01

    Install on your host

Download and verify the bundle, choose a permanent folder and configure the host port.

  2. 02

    Connect Home Assistant

Open HomePanel Studio, create your admin login and connect your existing server.

  3. 03

    Open another screen

Use the host’s local-network address and port to reach your dashboard from a browser.

KEEPING IT RUNNING

Updates, access
and backups

Does the host need to stay on?

Yes. Your viewing devices connect to the HomePanel Studio host. Docker startup settings and the host’s firewall affect availability after a restart. The initial setup is intended for a trusted local network.

How should I back up my work?

The installation bundle will include backup and restore tools. Keep the installation folder and configuration, and store a backup copy away from the host. Canvas exports preserve individual designs; installation backups cover the broader installation.
